Shipping
Our secure shopping cart system is set up to calculate delivey costs using the 'Best Way' which may be UPS and/or USPS Priority Mail. Orders are generally shipped within 48 hours and should arrive within 5 to 8 business days unless stated otherwise. USPS Express Overnight or UPS 2 Day Air shipments are available upon request. Additional shipping charges will apply and will be confirmed by e-mail.
Please note: It is not possible for our web site's shipping calculations to be accurate under all circumstances. Our shopping cart may generate an unreasonably high shipping cost occasionally. If this happens to you, please call us at (877) 410-0860 and request that we determine the actual shipping cost manually. If you place your order regardless, rest assured; real human beings process your order and we will adjust the shipping cost and notify you via e-mail.
Shipping & Weather Conditions
The Lucky Bamboo Shop reserves the right to delay shipments if temperatures here, at the shipping destination, or along the route are below 35 degrees Fahrenheit. During the winter season we constantly check localized weather reports to see whether shipment is possible.
We will not be held responsible for failing plants due to the following situations:
- Plants left outside in cold temperatures, shipments "disappearing" due to a signature waiver being on file for UPS shipments, or no one being home to receive the USPS Priority Mail shipments. Once the items are reported as delivered by the chosen carriers, we can no longer be held responsible. We highly recommend that you have your orders shipped to your office if you are absent during the day. This is especially true during the winter, since an office environment will also provide warmth for the plant.
- Cutting bamboo plant stalks unless we specify that a certain type can or should be cut. Please read and follow the care instructions included with your shipment carefully.
- Not adding sufficient water to the plants.
- Raising the plant's toxicity, or using unfit plant food, or adding plant food in destructive quantities.
Returns - Refunds
Since we are dealing with live plants, we can not accept returns. Replacements are limited to shipping damage (see above) or proven loss. Once an order is processed and packaged, it cannot be cancelled. These conditions apply to both retail and wholesale orders.
We reserve the right to slightly modify the styles, colors, and/or sizes of containers, the decorative fill, and/or the bamboo stalks themselves without notice. Pictures shown on the website are pictures of fully developed plants. Sprouts and leaves may be shorter than depicted, especially during the winter season when the plants grow more slowly. Please remember that since these are live plants, variations occur. Stem lengths may vary slightly, especially with the spiral lucky bamboo. The number of stalks in pre-arranged towers may vary due to varying diameters of the stalks.
Order Cancellation Policy
Cancellations: If you cancel your order, once placed, but before it is shipped, you will be assessed a 10 percent cancellation fee before credit is issued. Sorry, but we can not accept cancellations once your order has been shipped (see above). Orders which are refused at delivery will not be credited.
Fraudulent Chargeback Policy: If you do not remember having placed an order with us, or the name on the statement does not look familiar to you ("Lucky Bamboo Shop"), please call us at (877) 410-0860 before requesting a chargeback from your credit card provider or bank.
Due to our high order volume, a lot of research is needed on our part to resolve chargebacks and disputes. Searching through our database, contacting our merchant account provider, customer, etc. to resolve such an "accidental" dispute means that a lot of time is spent on this issue unnecessarily. We try hard to serve you well and ship items with great care and promptness and would like to keep it that way. Thank you for your understanding!
Fraudulent Charges - Stolen Credit Card Purchases: We log IP strings on all orders - any orders coming back as a chargeback due to fraudulent activities will be diligently pursued through your local jurisdiction for prosecution to the fullest extent of the law!
Please do not place an order using someone else's credit card - even if you have their permission. The name of the person ordering and the name on the credit card must be the same! |
